I know I can’t be the only one who feels like I recognize the country in which we live less and less each week, it seems.
Make anxiety go away!
The Supreme Court is a rogue, unjust, illegitimate and liberty threatening entity. It is going against what a majority of Americans believe. This is corruption flourishing beyond our trusted institutions and seeping deeper into the corners of society itself.
This is the real coup.
No one is above the law or should escape justice for crimes they’ve committed.
We don’t have a king!
Unfortunately, depending on what happens in November this may not be the case. The America we know may be lost forever.
We all must do something about this that far exceeds voting for the right candidate, no matter how crucial that is, and will always be, but taps into America’s promise and tradition, the pursuit of the greatest common good.
We must reach out like never before. We must resist being detached and pessimistic. We need to show the world we are not the divided enemies politicians need us to be!
Our Unions, the DGA, WGA, IATSE, SAG and AFTRA should do what unions historically have always done and support the democratic ticket. We should cohesively, unequivocally and publicly announce our endorsement. We cannot make the same mistake of betrayal as was done during the writer’s strike. We are in this together.
This election should not be this close. Common sense, dignity and core humanity should dictate what is obvious. Only one party believes in democracy. The other party shouldn’t even get a single vote!
How can this be happening in America? I think the answer is simple. With a 24-hour constant propaganda brainwashing and an industry of hate and lies, Fox News and Donald Trump have created an American Hitler.
Even his Vice Presidential pick realized this.
Governor J.B. Prisker has said it best, “Donald Trump is a convicted felon, an adjudicated rapist, and a congenital liar. He’s a racist, sexist, misogynistic narcissist who wants to use the levers of power to enrich himself and punish anyone who dares speak a word against him…he has betrayed our Constitution and sacrificed the truth to further his own naked ambition.”
Those of us who worked on the pageants know he had the women lined up in their swimsuits so he could walk down the line and drool over them.
He is not the worst president. He is the worst PERSON in American history!
There is no such thing as neutrality in this situation. If we do not take a stand we are being complicit.
We are in the communication business, and we should exercise our expertise, organize ourselves and voice absolute repudiation of the extreme MAGA MINORITY and especially Project 2025’s effort to turn this country into the fascist theocracy it most certainly was never meant to be.
I will reach out to union leaders in this quest and hope we will be unified.
